I was just cleaning out the basement this past weekend and found a couple boxes of old cassettes. Some interesting stuff in there (including some Japanese bootleg of '77 Clash outtakes, plus albums by every obscure '80s band imaginable), but the most puzzling might be this:

The Rolling Stones Claudine 2 LP set

Side One:

Let Me Go
Emotional Rescue
Send It To Me
Summer Romance
Where The Boys Go
Claudine
We Had It All
Let's Go Steady
Indian Girl
Going Mad

Side Two:

I Can See It
You Got The Silver
Dear Doctor
Fiji Jim
Misty Roads
I Like It Too Much
Need A Yellow Cab
Nanker Phelge
Rotten Roll

Apparently these are outtakes circa '78 - but I can't find much info on Google to verify that. I know the "Claudine" song was left off Emotional Rescue for fear of a law suit by Claudine Longet, but the rest of it is a mystery. Anybody have any information they could share?

Well, as they say, you got it if you want it. I can burn it to CDR, but a caveat: it's a 20-some year old cassette, so the sound quality isn't exactly sparkling.

I heard that. Nice work.

Carly Simon said in an interview recently that Mick told her "Starfucker" was about her.

Maybe she misinterpreted it when he said "You probably think this song is about you, don't you, don't you?"
