Stop Smiling the magazine has about half of their issue this month devoted to an "oral history" of HST. They've got interviews and articles written by a bunch of people who were close to him. There's also some good pictures and a bunch Ralph Steadman stuff.

It's definitely worth picking up if you come across it.

I've never even heard of this magazine, but I'll check my local book store.

I've only read a couple of issues. Apparently, it's been around for a while. Issue 22 is the HST issue.

They always publish multiple covers of the same issue, so some have his picture on the cover and other don't even though the content inside is the same.

there was a book put out a few years ago that more or less did this with interviews from all his friends and colleages 2 years ago by someone named E. Jean Carroll or something. I have it in the trunk of my car if anyone wants it.

Between Stop Smiling and Nylon (Maggie Gyllenhall on the cover - gorgeous!), I will chuck the Kenyon Review subs. and the Granta that never ever came (it's the literary CMJ of the UK) and get a coupla new ones.
