This past weekend I made my way out west (to watch the Yanks take 2 of 3 from the A's) and to visit two Amoeba's (Berkeley and San Francisco). I had visited the one in SF two years back and it gives the Hollywood one, a run for it's money...

I was dissapointed in the Berkeley one...By far the smallest of the three..The selection therefore was average at best....On top of that, two doors down was another store called Rasputins, which was 10x the store the Berkeley Amoeba was..I wish I would have traded in my stuff there instead.

I had shipped about 140 CD's out to my hotel looking to trade em in for some store credit, as i had a good sized list with me....I recieved $260 in store credit for my trade-in's. Between the two stores, here is my haul. Pardon the layout, as I have cut and pasted it from the 'Purchases' thread...

The fact that I have actually seen "Hero At Large" and am now admitting it makes me want to off myself........

so you traded 140 cd's for 29?

I'd like to see what you traded, since there are probably people here on the board who would give you at least $5 per cd making it more worth your while.

Nah, it was all crap. Alot of metal, or washed up rock...hardly anyhting that would appeal to the cmj/obner contigent....

my trade-off was a steal on my behalf....espcially, since i didnt pay a penny for the 140 i got rid of...woot.

sweeeeeeeet, let me know what days your free for lunch-- i actually might be staying out in NY a few days longer because i have to work during the weekend at the honda civic live event at randall's island park.
