Was working in the garage and had a mix tape going. Neighbor across the street was working on his truck. He's pretty much Lawrence from Office Space, with a country boy bent.

Playing from my garage: Steve Earle - "The Week Of Living Dangerously"

He calls out "That a helluva song you got up." Tips his trucker hat. Keeps polishing the chrome, whistles a bit.

Next song: Momus - "Lady Fancy Knickers"

Country Lawrence looks up, shakes his head, goes back to polishing, with a "fuck what IS this boy anyhow" look on his face.

I had to go inside before cracking up laughing. Awesome moment.

He's probably a good guy.

Song after Momus was Butthole Surfers "Creep In The Cellar." Wonder how he'd have liked that one.

Isn't Momus a right arsehole? Or is that sorta the point?

I think my point was the guy's reaction said the song was done by some artsy-farty fruit and didn't belong on a tape with the likes of Saint Steve-O of Copperhead and his initial thought I might be a right regular guy is only half-decided.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him an arsehole, but he is deliberately provocative. And his lyrics are quite often "blue".
