I'm in the very early stages of listening to this but I'm thinking.... me likey. They come back again with the beautiful electro pop, boy girl vocals, plus a rocker or two. I didn't even know they had another album coming out this quick. I hadn't heard about it anywhere. As well, I think it may only be released in Canada so far. Take that, rest of the world!!!

Agreed. Upon first listen, I thought "It's good, but it's no Heart." but I've listened to it two or three times since then and my opinion's changed.

I just question the choice of 'Ageless Beauty' as the first single. It's not really one of the stronger tracks on the disc.

Yeah it came out in spring of 2005 I think. I've had it for months. I like it. Ageless Beauty is a great song. I still think Romantic Comedy from 'Heart' is my favorite of theirs but Ageless Beauty is a clost second.

Broken Social Scene, more or less.

I love this album, don't see how it's not in my top five for the year. I really did my best to hype it at my other joint and a few intrepid members snapped it up, sadly none of them had the same reaction as I did.

Favorite track for me is He Lied About Death. Love that buzzsaw tex mex guitar that reminds me a lot of Marc Moreland, late of WOV.

I'm a big Stars fan and feel that Nightsongs is easily their best followed by the "Comeback" EP. Heart had some good songs but was too inconsistent for me. Set yourself on fire is a nice return to form with Track 1 "Your ex-lover is dead" as my favorite tune.

I like Set Yourself on Fire more then Heart as a whole body of work, but I think that 'Elevator Love Letter' and 'Death on Death' are far superior then any individual songs that the new album has.

Loog et al were pimping this back before I even got accepted to school. I dig it. And I consider Ageless Beauty to be a stand-out... damn good song, mostly for the chorus.

To me, Stars are way less ramshackle than BSS, with way more classic pop arrangements and melodies. I came to Fire first, so that's my favorite at the moment. It's one of those records that you put on and you go, "Wait a second - this is really good." Unlike the new BSS.
