I listened to The Dandy Warhols Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia yesterday - I'd forgotten how good this album is! Not every song is a great stand-alone song, per se, but the album is greater than the sum of its parts. Not a concept album, but it has the same consistency to the production.

What other albums do you think has this 'complete' feel to them?

Both Strokes albums.

I listened to this today and it's easily one of my least favorite Tom Waits albums. After "Time" it goes to shit, by Tom Waits' standards.

we might break up over this.

Just kidding. I failed to mention The Heart of Saturday Night being a perfect album, in my opinion, as well. Frank's Wild Years is sort of close to being perfect but I still skip a few tracks, but jesus fucking christ "Telephone Call From Istanbul" is a fucking incredible song. A lot of people will disagree with me on Tom Waits... I think he's brilliant and his entire discography is outstanding for various reasons (Closing Time being the exception), while a lot of people just really think many of his albums suck. I'm really stuck on Rain Dogs, maybe as "Time" goes by, I will change my mind but right now, it really suits me. I paint to it a lot. Oh this man is wonderful. :D

What's great about this album, is that, despite being consistently "qual", there's some nice variation.
