What do you guys do with single songs - like when you don't have an entire album by an artist, just one song.... iTunes files it by album on the iPod .... if you have several single songs.... you wind up with all these "albums" on your iPod with 1 song in them. Messy.

The only thing I can think of is to go into the ID3 tags or whatever of each single song and edit them all to list the album as "Various".... but what a pain in the ass if you have a shitload of individual songs (which i do!)

I have all my single songs, listed under the artist, 'MIX'....no album title...

so you had to manually edit the "Artist" field for each in Itunes...?

Is this really that big of a deal?
I'm much more irked by the CD database listings that have collaborators in the artist headings on hip-hop CDs, the end result being that I wind up w/ 8 different Kanye West listings, 12 Jay-Z listings, etc.

Put that shit in the song title heading, people! Use common sense.

You can select a group of tracks and edit the Artist album all at once.
