Heh, I saw her in Florida a few years ago as part of the Vacation That Time Forgot. She's pretty cool, though tix seemed to be priced for an older, richer demographic (mine was free).

Lists for $69.98.

Hope my local Mom 'n' Pop stocks it... That, or I'll combine my mother's Barnes & Noble discount card with a 15% off coupon from Wow Coupons and knock a good $18 or so off this bitch...

Ah, All Music Guide, you are the 411; I had no idea that Goldie later became Genya Ravan. Very interesting bio she's got there.

Yeh, I totally love Genya Ravan. I don't know why she's not more of an icon. In 1963 Goldie and the Gingerbreads weren't just the first all girl rock band, they were a hard R&B band in the manner of the early Stones. Plus Genya went on to Ten Wheel Drive, put out a hard rock solo album called Urban Desire ("Jerry's Pigeons" made my song Listmania), and PRODUCED THE FIRST DEAD BOYS ALBUM (and, by all accounts, scared the shit out of Stiv and the boys in the studio).

Here's another Genya Ravan bio.
