In my office, comp sent to station:

David Gray - Life In Slow Motion

It's much better than That Guy will say it is (he knows who he is).

Gray wears Van Morrison/Mike Scott devotion on his sleeve, with some Coldplay mood and a little too much Mick Hucknall-ism, but the songs are very good. In fact, if Van were singing them they wouldn't get criticized.

Anyway, strong CD, with not much of the AC trappings his last two CDs had. Fairly dark album. I probably won't listen to it a whole lot, but it's much better than the Five For Fighting demographic that indie rock fans often think Gray belongs in.

Ol' Bobblehead's alright.

Sufjan again. I almost avoid listening to it because one or more of the songs always end up getting stuck in my head for the rest of the goddamned day (especially Jacksonville and the one about the zombies).
