A few days ago I was on slsk in the CMJ Room. I posted something to the effect that Fastnbulbous should just give in and join us here at Obner. Damn it I miss him but he never responded. I understand Whiney but not Tony having so much resistance. That little post didn’t go unnoticed though because Zombeels has now found us. I’m assuming it’s because of this but if not correct me if I am wrong.

We should continue to post about Obner on CMJ just incase others have slipped under the radar.

In KOCF speak, 'obner' means 'boner'.

And with that he hasn’t posted since our first day and obviously has some sort of hang up.

Whatever, some people say he is full of it but knows his shit and that is what I miss. His web site is not enough as interaction is always better.

Hmm… I didn’t think I was forcing the issue but reacting to Contradiction post. I have, on the other hand, forced the issue on slsk and will let sleeping dogs lie. I just feel like I’m not the only one who wishes he would come over to the dark side, as they say twice.

Thanks for the kind words. I just didn't realize so many people stayed at Obner, because I've been out of the loop for the past month, not visiting the boards as much. November-December I always put more focus on catching up on writing, and cramming on the year's releases -- tracking down potential top albums I missed (up to 300 in that timespan) and re-listening to another 100 of my previous picks. It's sick, I need help.

Usually some really great finds emerge to make my top 13, but I've been a little disappointed so far. Is the entire music community in a rut or is it just me? I'm sure I'll find something exciting in the next couple weeks. I'll make a thread along those lines.

I can't decide if EVERYTHING is overrated this year, or my standards have changed since I became a part of CMJ/Obner...because a lot of stuff that I have bought, and purport to like this year does not get the play top 10 albums should get.

That said, Salesmen and Racists would make a top 10 (all time) for me right now. I like it that much, and it gets daily spins from me.
