November 22 update:
Yes, the rumors are true: Now Wave Magazine is going “out of business”. The Wave train is riding off into the sunset. Sometime next month, I will pull the plug on this web-zine, which has been on-line since the spring of 2000. I’m doing so in order to give myself the time to revive my long-dormant “writing career” (which has been shelved for way too long). This is my tenth year in the zine biz, and now seems like the right time to get out.
It is possible that some current Now Wave contributors will resurface in the near future with a new site that would continue the general NWM “mission”, but that’s entirely up to them. I’m sure Mark and I will be offering lengthier farewell missives in the coming weeks. For now, I’d advise bands and labels to stop sending us promo. Anything you send us now probably won’t be reviewed before we go off the air.
Thank you.
so, uh, if you guys know of any place that's looking for a hack freelance record reviewer, let me know.
