On my computer I have a folder of mp3's thats titled, "maybe".

Sometimes after listening to a new song I've found and downloaded I find that I don't hate it but can't commit it to a new mix cd I'm working on or to just toss it in the trash. I just can't find the right place for it really. Well, I'm sure you're thinking that this isn't too much of a problem except I now have over 200 fucking songs now in this file folder and my ancient computer is straining over the size of it. Or at least I think it is anyways.

So what should I do? Should I just bite the bullet and toss 'em out, or is it my responsibility to hang on to them for the enjoyment of future generations??? I feel so torn.

Help.

Songs..try ALBUMS. I have aton of albums that I used to LOVE..but now mainly love them in memory..but someday something (nostalgia, a visiting guest, drugs) could propel me to break them out again.

And if its just mp3s...keep em. You can always get more storage space.

Dump them. These are always the lame songs that come up on random and ruin the whole mood of the evening.

i have a similar problem. anything i download gets sent directly to that folder. and at the end of each day, i usually listen to every song and decide if it gets moved over to the "for keeps" folder, waits, or gets DELETED! (strongbad-style)

there are some songs that i can't make such a quick decision on, so they wait it out. and i might go back to them the next day or the next week, but i've learned that if i don't like something on the first or second listen, it's very rare that it'll ever move. so, my advice is to just delete them. it's a waste.

Is there a reason why there are two threads for the same topic? Can we delete one or do I need to start a poll?

Hold on to them. Only kill the ones that you feel absolutely suck.

The rest may start festering in your brain one day and you want to hear them but you don't want to buy the cd that contains them.
