So kids... whaddaya think?

Bought my copy yesterday. I'm on my second listen.

First impression: more electronic than I wanted it to be, vocals sounded a little colder than I wanted them to.

Second impression: it's different, but it's actually a pretty fun electropop album. They sound like they're happier than with HaHaSound. Me likey.

Summary: if I drop my expectations of what Broadcast should sound like then I can just really enjoy it as being a great, catchy, cool new album.

RIYL: Ladytron

...Speaking of which... their new one is a killer too.

Ther's been some talk on it before, but i can't find it. I thought it was okay but kinda boring. 'America's Boy' was the standout track.

Oh yeah the new Ladytron is completely fantastic.

Listening to it on AOL Music right now. It's wispy, but I like it a lot. There's no meat on its bones and it's dispassionate in etherealness, but that's good for some listening times.

So far, I really like "America's Boy" and "Tears In The Typing Pool"

two word review: "laptop Lush"

Edit: a different CD might load up on this link (because AOL people are retarded), but just click on the Tender Buttons image in the image menu at the top of the page.

I thought this was going to be about the band Tender Buttons...

They're a synth-based Kill Me Tomorrow side project, pretty cool and, looking at these responses, a lot more satisfying....

I can't wait to get me some new Ladytron next month - the songs I've heard are purty good...
