question about torrents

is www.bittorrent.com a good site to get started? what would you recommend? I'm totally new to this.

the best torrent sites though, are those that you need to sign up for, like Oink, torrentleech, etc.

i think www.bittorrent.com is a pay site.... i'd avoid that like the plague

No, that's the official Bittorrent site. There's no paid content there at all.

Indietorrents is FANTASTIC for leaks of upcoming albums, but you're better off with other sources for older releases.

I will keep you in mind.
