I'm completely jealous. I have wanted to go to Europe forever. I was going to go over there with my girlfriend at the time and I saved my money and made the plans and then we broke up.

I still want to go and I don't really have a problem just going on my own but I have to think it would be infinitely better with a friend or friends.

I want to go to Italy bad and gorge myself on Italian food and wine.

Same sob story. Ex-girl"friend" and I were slated to travel this summer to Costa Rica, or anywhere, and then we broke up. Just go, even if it's on your own. Or maybe especially because of it.

I'm meeting good friends in Paris for a few days and then off to Rome, after which point I'll meet up with my parents for a few nights (the lengths I'll go to for free meals), followed by a week to myself. Geeeyeah.

I am not jealous, however I still wish you a good time and safe trip.

You'll come back a changed man. The Mediterranean has that affect on people. Just remember, live like there's no tomorrow. And break some hearts...

The only thing breaking is the bank. Many many beautiful Ferraris here (and there are nice cars, too), but I've made no headway. I haven't hit the Mediterranean yet, but should tomorrow. I'll be back on Sunday, and am not not looking forward to it.

Traveling by oneself is a trrrrrip. Sometimes blissful, sometimes challenging, and oftentimes quite even keel. I find myself writing a lot, and I've solo-walked a good portion of Italy in the last couple weeks. I picked up some bomb hash in Rome and have been gorging myself on it in the evenings.

Otherwise, I want to get out of Florence quickly, and to the ocean, whether or not it's raining.

Name the time and place. I REALLY want to hit Italy hard but I could be talked into heading up to Munich for some beer and black outs.

Ahh, munich... land of 1.5 liter beers. Where the kidding around is pretty much overwith. Where the pussyfooting around having a serious drinking problem is brought forcefully to an end.
