so i have not really ever heard her before. She was on Leno tonight. She has to have one of the best voices I have heard in a long long time. It's smooth man. Like a baby's bottom.

anybody care to agree?

I'm a fan of the voice though I'm not too familiar with her work. Her track on the "O Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack is exquisite. One of my Denver buds is a big fan and apparently has hung out with member of Union Station (her backing band) on a few occasions.

She recently had an on air performance on KCRW. I'm sure it's already archived if you wanna familiarize yourself more with her voice.

She has the most exquisite voice in the history of the world. I don't always like the style of her actual songs, but her voice itself turns me into a puddle of blissed out gooey-goo.

She, strangely, is partly responsible for getting me into Phish. She sings on "If I Could" off of Hoist, and it melts me still.

I've been meaning to pick up something by her for ages, ever since I saw a concert on TV. She did a heart-meltingly beautiful slow cover of the Foundations' Baby, Now That I've Found You.

Oh, and I have a huge crush on one of her guitarists. Underbites are so fucking cute.

If you like bluegrass, and aren't as fond of her slightly cheesier stuff, check out I've Got That Old Feeling. I love her voice, and this is the only album of hers I care to listen to, as most of the others are filled with a bit too much cheese.

She's one of those artists I half assed paid attention to but she put on a really good performance on Leno.
