This one brings back memories. Fans of Sister Machine Gun, Pop Will Eat Itself, Nitzer Ebb, and old-school NIN will probably enjoy it. Engine's loud, funky, pop-friendly, with splashes of industrial and hip-hop thrown in for good measure. You can tell they had a blast making it.

I think it's one of the best albums of the 90s, but it somehow fell under the radar. :?

This is something that I would probably like (I listened to NIN, Ministry, etc. all throughout middle school), so I'll keep an eye out for it.

I should point out that allmusic has good sound clips of it.

I've said this before but...

Those that like this album really need to have Die Warzau's two previous releases: Big Electric Metal Bassface and Disco Rigido. The remixes for "Funkopolis" and "Never Again" are a perfect blend of industrialization with infectious dance. I like Engine okay, the best being "All Good Girls" but overall its a bit too funky and meandering in style for my tastes.

Oh, and ditto on the cover art.

I used to really dig "Jack Hammer" and "Bodybag" -- too bad I have no idea where all my Die Warzau discs are (except for the current one)...L, I even have that Oxygiene 23 album, which I like (although it ain't no industrial)...
