Agreed. I never bought the Metal Gears for PS2. Should I? I wish it was PS3 coming out in late November, but as they say, it will be worth the wait. I'll pick up 360 though because I'm sure that will be impressive as well.

I'd skip MGS 2 unless you can find it really cheap. The first part of the storyline is great, but everything gets all fucked up in the 2nd half.

I would definitely recommend MGS 3. It's honestly one of the best games I've ever played. The controls are a little different from MGS on the PS1 (no radar) but it's got a great storyline and awesome boss battles.

i hate boss battles. i'm too lazy and they're too much effort and always piss me off. . . just thought i'd share that.

while i have literally no plans to purchase a ps3 i can't imagine that this game won't be worth playing.

the last one i played was mgs2, and it wasn't particularly good.
