this is really fucking weird timing, because last night I had a really weird dream about the only girlfriend I have ever cheated on. It's wasn't like a sex dream or anything like that, but it was odd because I haven't really seen her since early college (I went out with her in high school). Well, today I went to Wawa and literally walked into the girl that I cheated on her with. She looked great, I mean really, really beautiful. I totally rememeber spending the night with her and, when she'd fallen asleep, wondering to myself how I could possibly spend any more time with someonbe who loved The Crow and wrote such shitty poetry. and today I saw her and thought to myself "I probably shouldn't have called it off with her", completely ignoring the total hell I went through 2 years later after I broke up with the girl I had cheated on. I was young and stupid.

same here. i cheated on an old girlfriend a few times when i was 17. hated the way it felt afterwards, so swore i'd never do it again. and haven't.

i said something really stupid here once about my girlfriend and i felt like shit forever and a day. i truly regret it.

Dunno, but from my perspective you should cheat and get cheated on while in your teens. There's no better time to do it - and there's no other way to learn how shitty it feels on either end of that kind of mistake (unless it turns out that you're a habitual cheater, in which case the teen years are the best time to get good at it).

That was the first time I did it as well. That's kind of weird actually. Maybe it's an anthropological phenomenon, like a rite of passage.

I'm with Dalen. It was the way I felt afterward that just fucked me up. I truly loved the girl I was with at the time and it made me feel like such a dirtbag. but damned if it didn't seem sooo worth it at the time.

i feel the same way. it's all a part of growing up. and while it made me feel like shit afterwards, it was a very memorable experience in my life.

But i'm just not that type of person. I really don't want to waste the time and effort that it takes to get in a great relationship with someone and have either them or yourself fuck it all up.
I'm into sticking to one person. If I wanted someone else, i'd be a big enough person to let the person i'm with know I didn't want them anymore.
I really wouldn't be able to handle it if I invested as much of myself and my time into a relationship (this being the longest of 2 years) and finding out that the person on the other end of the relationship fucked around on you.
