Al Green :: Call Me | 1973
Curtis Mayfield :: Curtis | 1970

I rated both of these 10 on Charts.

A top three of studio albums for each of these (eliminating Superfly since you have it)

Given that you already have "Superfly"

1. "Curtis"
2. "There's No Place Like America Today"
3. "Sweet Exorcist"

James Brown

Any of the three live at the apollo recordings are great, but I'm assuming you want non comp, studio work so:

1. "The Payback"
2. "Hell"
3. "Get on the Good Foot"

Donny Hathaway

1. Everything is Everything
2. Extension of A Man
3. S/T

I've heard great things about his collaborations with Roberta Flack too but have never heard them.

Al Green

1. Let's Stay Together
2. I'm Still In Love With You
3. Call Me

I can't help much with Otis as I only have a live album and a 3 disc best of comp. "Otis Blue" is widely considered to be his best album though.

I know you're looking for studio...

still. You MUST get Otis Redding Live in Europe. Basically him with the M.G.s.
