Does anyone have any files to share ? I'm lookin for your basic haunted house/eerie noises type of stuff. I'll be setting up the front yard with some speakers playin these creepy sounds as the kids approach. Any help will be much appreciated. Please PM me if you can help.

I think he just wants sound effects and spooky music. Stuff like that.

However, I was going to start a thread in a week or so looking for the other kind of Halloween-related music. Stuff like "I Bleed" by Pixies, for instance.

Track down the 'Box Theme' from the Coil 'Hellraisers Themes' album and put it on repeat. That'll creep enough people out.

I made a couple Halloween mixes awhile ago. I'll post them if I can find them.

I'm sure you could find a cd of spooky sounds at Wal-Mart or somewhere for a couple bucks.

That was gonna be my last resort. I was just hoping someone here had a mix a few steps up from those. Please find them Shiv , 29 days left. :)

Actually , I'll take both. I wanted spooky sounds but I'll grab some Halloween songs but not the ones sung by The Misfits and such. I guess stuff like themes from some horror films will do . But I prefer the haunted house/creepy sound effects.

I know this is not what you want, but I made this CD mix in 2003:

King Diamond- Them
Primus- Sinister Exaggerator
Eat- Tombstone
Chills- Creep
Masters Of Reality- The Candy Song
Low Pop Suicide- Zombie
The Minus 5- In A Lonely Coffin
Hoodoo Gurus- Mind The Spider
Indigo Girls- Ghost
Marcy Playground- The Vampires Of New York
Medicine- Candy Candy
Violent Femmes- Nightmares
House Of Freaks- Black Cat Bone
REM- I Walked With A Zombie
Something For Kate- Monsters
Ramones- You Should Have Never Opened That Door
X- Devil Doll
Therapy- Die Laughing
Megadeth- Prince Of Darkness
Love & Rockets- Haunted When The Minutes Drag

Anybutty want to trade H-ween comps?

fp

P.S. What Shiv said- you can find Sounds Of Halloween anywhere- even at the counter in gas stations.

Pop Todd introduced me to Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson, and there's a spooky-ass track on there called "It's Business As Usual". It's not a horror flick soundtrack or scary noises, I realize, but if you want some creepy, unsettling music give it a shot.

Also 'The Crusher' by The Cramps. Not spooky, just scary.

Oh, and Radcliffe is right about that Barry Adamson. It's creepy as hell.

Also: what about Nick Cave's Murder Ballads?
Some great stuff on there.
