I first need to thank all of you out there who strongly encouraged me to see this show. This was an unbelievable show, just stunningly good, I was not expecting this.

Belle Orchestre started the show. It was all right, it didn't thrill me to be honest. But the last two more than made up for the somewhat worrisome beginning. Both of these bands were just amazing. Wolf Parade was not on long enough, they just killed live and played some of the highlights from Apologies to the Queen Mary. Then came The Arcade Fire who opened with 'Wake Up', played most of Funeral, one song from the EP and covered 'State Trooper' with a little help from one of the Wolf Parade guys. They closed with Rebellion and encored with In the Backseat, where they finished the song marching all over the Odeon Event Centre. All in all, geniunely thrilling stuff to see. It made me excited to see live music again.

thanks for the review. i was thinking of going when they come to edmonton tommorow, and you just convinced me to get some tickets and go. ill have to skip out of my night class early, but itll be worth it.

If you can get tickets any which way, go get 'em. It was that good. My wife came with me last night and at the beginning of the night, I would say she was only a casual fan at best. She was more excited than I was after the show.

glad you enjoyed seeing wolf parade. i'm anxiously waiting for them to come to la since obviously they're skipping la on this current tour with arcade fire.
