The first time I heard it, it had that ring of a song that's been around forever. Like a Hank Williams song. Beautiful and perfect. Reminds you that the reason Beck has had so much success is that, behind all that crazy-ass production are some pretty damn good songs.

I'm kind of surprised by the love of "Debra" around here. I could see a live thing, but it seemed a little goofball-ish to include as the closer of Vultures. It never sits right with me - like the joke is too obvious or clunky or something. I always skip it. But, I don't begrudge anyone this choice.

I like "Jack Ass" and "Guess I'm Doing Fine."
