Tonite: Widespread Panic and Dwight Yoakam (among others) are playing Bayfest right here in downtown Mobile. I haven't seen Panic since I think 99 (but it might've been 2000) and Dwight blew me away at SXSW, so I can't fucking wait!!

Tomorrow: A good friend of mine won a raffle for: 4 tickets to UGA vs. Tennessee, a Limo to Knoxville and back, AND all you can drink Miller Lite. Hopefully the Dawgs can avenge last year's soul destroying letdown, and kick some Volunqueer ass!

Sunday: Drive back to Montgomery, sleep it off, get up in the morning and come back to Mobile.

PERFECT FUCKING WEEKEND!!

And I get to do none of it.

Tonite = Drive to Montgomery, eat dinner, drink wine, go to sleep
Saturday = wake up early, drive to ATL clean out the rest of gf's old apt. Meet up with Bloor, watch part of game, go to a fucking wedding, which will be great and all, but mutherfuck,,,Bloor, you got the Transistors, ready?

Sunday = clean up the rest of the apt. Head to Redlands for a mid-afternoon mongering supper with Bloor, Cap'n and possible *FRANK*Drive back to MGM, get up early as fuck and head back to the 'Bile.

Tonight my sister and I are going to see VISQUEEN and others.

Saturday- Play in a Magic tournament and win some money. Then go out to a friends place to stay and play more games.

Sunday- Play tennis, weather permitting. If not, sit around and watch the 110' screen and tinker with games we're working on.

I'm looking forward to the show tonight. They're fun live, and I've had to miss the last few shows I wanted to go to.

Right now I'm entertaining my crazy ex-con brother-in-law, whose stories of aggravated assault, hookers, drugs and barrelhouse drinking are starting to frighten me. If he's sticking around for the weekend I really have no idea what's going to happen, but it won't be clean fun.

Him: I'm having a little party this weekend
You: What's gonna be going on?
Him: A little fightin', a little fuckin'
You: expecting a big crowd, eh?
Him: No, just me and you!

I'm going to my brothers wedding.

Frankly a wedding is the biggest waste of time possible in the human experience. Who the fuck wants to go to a wedding?

I think the Onion said it best "Wedding Enjoyed By No One But Bride". Seriously, I bought you a present and this is what I get in return? Basically I'm having a day stolen from my life. Why don't people who get married just get married and leave me out of it?

Now I'd be pissed off anyway but the fact that I have to dress up in a morning suit and buy $100 shoes I'll only wear once in my life has tipped me over the edge.

At my wedding there's going to be four people. Some sort of official, me, the bride and a legal witness and everyone else can fuck off and you know why? Cos I'm a nice guy.

People I care about, whom chances are I don't see very often, are having the most important day of their lives, and they want me involved in it. Cost of the gift notwithstanding, I get a free meal, possibly open bar, and have a good night with friends or family. Works for me.
