If all of this was really said than Ozzie's quote is perfect. Why would Hill say that....it was a legitimate play at the plate.

Im not a SOX fan and I know Pierzynski is a lot of talk, but it sounds as though Barrett is pretty much a little bitch. I mean, Pierzynski sent the first apology? Barrett didnt respond? And these guys have known each other for quite a while too.

if it was anyone but Pierzynski the fight never would have happened. but he's universally regarded across MLB as a cocksucker, and many players would have loved to be in the position barrett was in and coldcock AJP.

yeah barrett was wrong and he clearly showed that in the press conference (not sure what "no response" you're talking about, st. patrick), but it was pretty cool seeing him clock that bastard. cubs have been on a downward spiral for a while. we take our highlights were we can get them

Why would anyone be apologizing in this case? I don't like the Sox at all ( Raiders of MLB, IMO ) but this was a totally clean play.

If the Cubs catcher didn't like the slapping of home plate...well, boo fuckin' hoo. You wanna not get shown up? Try making a play.

Barrett said he didn't even see AJ slap the plate. That's a non-issue here. Pay attention.
