I'm putting together a mix of dance tunes but I'd like to hear what others would consider their favorites for this year.

Do you want songs that are under the genre Dance or do you want songs that are just genuinely fun to dance to?

Miami Sound Machine? The same band that played with Gloria Estefan???

Actually, I was thinking of including Mylo's In My Arms...

Good question.

I'd say mostly under the genre Dance but I wouldn't necessarily kick a great indie-rock dance remix off of this.

I've only heard Kaito's Intention which is good in a moody kind of way.

Boy, I really want to include some new Depeche Mode but the remixes of their latest, Playing The Angel are just awful.

All the remixes of Precious on the single were pretty shit. The Richard X remix of the old 'Enjoy The Silence' is good

I'm usually not very fond of dance remixes of indie artists.

Here are some excellent proper techno, house, & electro tunes that have been released this year. These are tunes that I've played out that've had great reactions.

Mathew Jonson - Followed By Angels
Chemical Brothers - Believe [Mathew Jonson remix]
Mathew Jonson - Marionette
Michael Mayer - Lovefood [Matias Aguayo remix]
Dj Koze - Raw
Heiko Laux - Sun city
Metro Area - Honey Circuit
Metro Area - Proton Candy
Isolee - Face B
Jeff Bennett - Electricity
Modeselektor - Kill Bill Vol.4
Daniel Wang - Berlin Sunrise
Skugge & Stavostrand - Jeans Down With It
Jacen Solo - The Nexus Chase
Ferenc - Nitsa Is 11
John Dahlback - You make Me Feel The Vibe
Monolake - Invisible
Silicone Soul - Folie A Deaux

Forgot to add this one...

This is on the mellower side, but everyone I've played this for has been floored by it [especially during the early morning sessions]. Beautiful tune. Sooooo good.

Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle

Once again you steal my thunder. The next album to be reviewed in Konstantiranks will be Sebastien Tellier's 'Politics' and without going into details it's a good un. La Ritornelle, as great as it is actually has a few competitors on the LP for best track.
