He wouldn't shut up....apparently he kept yelling "I'm Big in Japan" at the top of his lungs. Waits died 30 minutes later."

And look, someone posted it on another forum and apparently everyone got really pissed off. You all know how much I love Tom Waits, but it's obviously a joke. People need to lighten up.

On the flipside, my friend (and complete Clash nutso) Chris called me a few years ago totally freakin out that "contacts" in Great Britain were telling him Joe Strummer had died.

W both checked some Strummer tribute pages and looked at news sites on the web and found nothing and I told him it was BS.

Ten hours after his phone call it was confirmed.
