Anyone gotten this yet? It's pretty awesome but I don't want to spoil anything.

Are they re-tinkering with origins again? Cleaning up storylines?

I think it's a little of both. I also think I need to re-read Crisis On Infinite Earths again because there's some of this that I don't remember.

Are these just normal comics, or are they graphic novel size? The reason I quit reading comics years ago was that they were just too damn short for the money they cost...

It's a new miniseries. I'm sure it'll be collected as a series a couple of months after it's over.

I think it might be weekly. I hope so, it'll suck if they drag this out over 6-7 months.

$3.99 an issue, which is on the more expensive side of things. You might want to wait for the trade which will probably be around $16-20.

Man, comics are way too expensive. When I quit I was dropping $30 a week, and that was only on Marvel books, and a few indie presses.

Yeah I got 10 comics this week and it cost me around $25. I've got a shitload of stuff on hold in my folder at the store and I don't see it going down anytime soon.

Yeah, comics are way too expensive these days. If you like Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan, Planetary, The Authority, etc), he just started a new series called Fell. The idea behind it is to put out a 24 page comic for 1.99 US where each individual issue would be a self contained story. It's really only 16 pages of story and then some text stuff in the back, and most if it's done in a 9 panel page to try and cram in more story for your buck. Anyway, it's a cool idea, and so far it's a pretty good book.

Haven't tried to read Infinite Crisis. I mostly read Marvel. The Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely Superman has me intrigued though. I'd probably buy anything those guys do together.
