Maybe, but I doubt he could have pulled it to left with the bat in his mouth and all.

I heart Baseball.

This years playoffs have been insane and ratings are up. I read today that the first round prime time games on FOX have been getting better numbers than the NBA Finals of even the last three years.

That is good news bad news because FOX has pretty much said it will renew it's rights before those talks open up for anyone else in December. Boston last year changed everything and now they have, at least, the number three market in it this year.

The Cardinal players looked pissed that the Astros were (somewhat) celebrating prematurely. I love that this St. Louis team plays 'til the bitter end. I want to see this series go to 7, for sure.

I hate the Cardinals.
Still, Pujols is a fucking monster.

Damn him.

Because people hate really good baseball players that don't play in the colored uniforms they like.

I was hating him at the end of game 4. Why the hell would someone his size and speed attempt to run home on a fairly hard-hit ball right to the third baseman?! That's just awful base running.

Like I said in the other thread, that HR made me physically ill. However, Pujols is flat out the best in the game, hands down. NO Andruw Jones, NO Derrick Lee, NO Vlad, NO Manny or Pappy. This guy scares the living crap outta me every time he comes to the plate against the Astros, no matter the score. He's also a standup guy that I have very much respect for. All that being said, please Oswalt.

Nope don't agree Barry Bonds is still the best offensive player in the game and he is still playing. No one has ever altered the game like Bonds has excluding maybe Ruth. He has probably cheated and he was one person who didn't need to and his number would have only been slightly altered. I hate the guy as well but in a pure baseball realm he makes me shake my head and say WoW the most. He happens to play for my team so I have been overexposed to him and can't wait until that personality is out of baseball. But I'm all about the name on the front of the uniform and because of that here is hoping for a full recovery.

If that was Bonds they would of walked him even if Pujols was on deck.

When both their careers are over, I think Pujols will be looked at as a much better player than Bonds, home run record or not.

Also...

Exactly. I personally have nothing against the guy, other than he kept the Astros from going to the World Series. So, because of that, I shall henceforth refer to him forevermore as "Pendejols."

I can buy that, and I'm okay with that. It just seemed odd that someone who seems pretty straight up and talented like Pujols would catch a lot of flak.

Pujols has a batting average of .332 over his first 5 years with 201 homeruns. Compare that to Bonds who averaged .263 in his first 5 years and 117 homeruns. Bonds did steal bases at that time though.

Your are right Shiv but they also said that of Ken Griffey Jr. but he couldn’t stay healthy. It always depends on health but Pujos is flat out scary already. But Bonds is the only 700/500 guy with no-one in even the 500/300 class.
