A collection of classic punk plus new and no wave tunes that goes far beyond the obvious -- one that includes long heralded names such as Suicide and the Adverts, plus tons of names that we're personally seeing for the first time ever! What really puts this collection above and beyond the call of duty, other than sheer number of tunes, is the way of provides a snapshot of the era, warts and all. The floodgates tore open with ferocity of the first wave of punk trailblazers ran screaming through the culture, and this set snaps a vast portrait of the ensuing chaos! 51 tracks on 2CDs!

I'm surprised how little of this I know (Damned, Adverts, Suicide, Toy Dolls, Fab Poodles, Jilted John, Uk Subs & Sham 69) which could be a great thing or a sign of mediocrity. I'm intrigued though. How's it look to your eyes?
