Congrats to UGA on being #4, and I was shocked to see Texas Tech and Nebraska ranked as high as they are. If the Huskers win this weeks road game in Columbia, they are bowl eligible and looking good in the Big 12 North race. I still can't believe they are one fumble away from still being unbeaten after Tech took a 21pt lead two weeks ago.

Yeah, UGA just has to keep taking care of their business and hope that the dominos keep falling in front of them.

LSU has mastered sabatoging themselves. When they are focused, they can beat anyone, but they have not sustained it for a complete game yet. I honestly believe we are the most talented team not named USC. 5 turnovers and countless penalities, and they still beat Florida. We're dangerous, but not a contender yet. We'll see how it all shakes out.

I hope Texas keeps winning, this is probably their last tough game and it is at home this week against Tech. The game against A&M on the road is always dangerous, but the Aggies got beat pretty bad by CU, who just got annihilated by the Longhorns.
I can only hope that my Cornhuskers get a shot to shock the world in KC or be humiliated on national TV before we make a decent bowl game. It would be payback for the 1996 game that kept us out of competing for three straight titles.

You are dreaming, Maryland lost to West Virginia who was beat fairly bad by the Hokies. The Terps might catch them looking forward to important games against BC and Miami, but Maryland also has FSU next week, so I figure both teams are going to be equally prepared.

West Va got a pretty high rank, don't know if this is a bogus score, or if I should be feeling great that they only beat us by 13.

Like it ever does for Texas? A team that openly always manages to clinch defeat from the jaws of victory EVERY year and does so with arguably the best talent in America.

What really sucks for Texas is that even if they win out they will be faced with the daunting task of playing USC in Pasadena....

That being said, I hope the Dawgs and Horns win out and everybody else takes an L so we can meet up in January.....

Given it would take a ridiculous USC slip up (which doesn't seem as improbable as it has the past few seasons) but I am drooling at the possibility of a Va Tech/Texas championship. Vince Young and Marcus Vick on the same field, there would be no way that game could be the let down we've had to witness in the past two national title games.

That being said the 'Horns ought not overlook Tx Tech.

Does GA play LSU and UF this year? If they m,ake it through the SEC with no loss, they should be #1, I think, but the pollsters will likely not take it away from SC. Although the last game of the year will be undefeated USC at potentially undefeated UCLA. That will be a great game. Would much rather see the Dogs in January, no offense, but I think they are just a more predictable team than SC, especially after seeing that ND game.

Mike Leach has a scary team there in Lubbock. That spread offense is brutal. However, they still havent been able to really stop a good team yet, so they could lose to Texas 51-48 and it wouldnt surprise me. But they sure look good.

Cal is not very good - the Beavs schooled them this weekend - not as close as score indicated. And the Beavs lost to Louisville by about 40 points.

Mike Leach's team isn't so scary, Nebraska was winning the game with less than a minute left and would have secured a win had not Defensive End Lekevin Smith fumbled away a game winning Interception.
That said Texas Tech is a good team that jumped out to a 21 point lead against Nebraska early on, and could do the same to almost any team. I just don't see it happening in Austin.

No offense taken. I think Texas and USC are better than UGA.

We play FLA this year but not LSU

They just beat Louisville this weekend, and the one loss is to Virginia Tech. The Mountaineers should coast through the rest of the Big East.

West Virginia travels to South Florida this weekend, The Bulls aren't very good on the road, but they annihilated Louisville 45-14 at home. The Mountaineers squeeked by the Cardinals by two at home. I still like WVU in this game, but wouldn't be surprised to see them take a loss.

Exactly. Although anything could happen, this is the most likely scenario for USC to lose. Bruins have one of the two or three best offenses in the country. Their defense, especially the DL, is young and inexperienced. It is the 217th ranked defense out fo 220 1-A schools. If the coaching staff can ever actually figure out how to build a consistent defense then: December 3: UCLA 42, USC 37.

And then it's Texas v. Georgia in Rose Bowl with UCLA crying foul.

Honestly some of those match ups alone should make some programs completely secede from the NCAA and become independent.

The BCS is complete garbage.

If UGA plays the SUGAR bowl, where does it get played?

Let's start thinking NOW people.
