I'm going to try to go to this -- thanks for the flag.

HF -- I consider them part of what I have been calling the new instrumentalists: Album Leaf, Tortoise, et al. Just some mellow, pretty music.

this is not real tristeza. jimmy lavelle left the band and these are just the other guys. the new tristeza has vocals too, right? ugh, that's not the sound i grew to love.

i don't know but i hope you are wrong....esp with the vocals...

they were here in the spring time and sounded great - new material was hoss....

well, i heard something on the radio by them a few months ago and it had vocals and it has pretty horrendous. i obviously didn't search out anything more after that.

Jimmy went off to Album Leaf a couple years ago, methinks.

But vocals would suck -- what's the point of calling them "new instrumentalists" if they don't play instrumentals? Is there a new album I missed? I don't remember vocals...last thing I heard about was a re-release of Spine and Sensory.
