sorry, I was late for work, because I stopped off at Starbucks and couldn't find a parking spot for my SUV. When my cell rang, I had to make a choice between swerving around you at top speed and taking the call.

It was an important call.

Dammit, Phil, don't these people realize you have talent? You should have your own lane. Bigger lane, I mean.

Good jesus man, stop riding your bike to work, it seems like a dangerous thing for you to do.

Stay home, rest, and hope you feel better man!

I'm not going to stop riding my damn bike. I'm losing weight fer chrissakes, and not just the flesh that gets scraped off on the pavement. And I'm saving money on gas. And I like it, other than having been hit three times this school year. This last one was bad though.

So yeah, maybe I'm retarded. Oh well. Just got back from the bike shop and she's all fixed up.

Now off to the bank.

Damn i'm bored. At least Sadie is enjoying riding around in the truck, gnawing on a rawhide and sticking her head out the window. Good sunny autumn day for that.

I'll have to remember this "hit by a car" excuse next time I'm stumbling around the office drunk.

You're at least geared up properly, no? Helmet, gloves, etc?

It must be your fault- doin' weird shit, riding against traffic, not signaling, not riding defensively?

I've been commuting for 35 years and have only been hit once, and that was my fault. Course, I don't live in a big city, and folks around here are pretty tolerant of bikes, even though there aren't any. :(

Just sayin'.

Oh, yeah- glad you're not hurt badly, but if the dizzies come back, see a doc. Did you hit your head?

dude, you got to stop drunk pedalling. Be more like Kevin Bacon in Quicksilver and.. I dunno, I've never been able to get myself to watch that piece of shit, but you know, I bet its something where he saves the day and gets the girl all on a bicycle... Get better soon, and don't pick it, it'll never heal.

No, actually he falls down, and takes the entire movie to pick hisself back up again. But by the time he does, you're so relieved that he does, that you actually cheer for him.

Seriously. Dizziness post-injury is your brain letting you know something is up and time to pay attention.

Dizziness is subsided, but left hand is still numb. I follow the rules of the road, i stick to the bike lanes, but there are a combination of people who don't pay attention, and people who have a chip on their shoulders towards bikers.

Yeah, i'm geared up. No scrapes, just bruises. Yay for gore-tex!

Lemme think...

1. car jacked and hospitalized ... check
2. 5 different music teacher jobs in 7 years?! ... check
3. in a fantastic grammy nominated band in the twilight of it's career ... check
4. caught a tropical disease and almost bit it ... check
5. listening to my roommates have sex right now ... check
6. bit by a shark my one and only time in the ocean ... check
7. had trouble finding a date to Paul McCartney?! ... check
8. narrowly escaped a burning vehicle ... check
9. played on 4 multiplatinum albums and received no credits ... check
10. have a goodly amount of talent and yet look like a dot head version of rerun from what's happening, thereby insuring a life of ignominy ... check

the list could go on, but yeah, bullseye seems about right.

Dam, dude! This one struck me...well, they all struck me...but this one struck me as particularly absurdly...well, something.

If the world is a kharmic place, then you gonna be doing alright in the future.

It looks like you've got some past life karma to make up for son. Either that, or we are actually out to get you. Either way, you've got one hell of an autobiography in the works buddy.
