On "Have You Passed Through This Night" from Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever A guy's voice can be heard talking, and I swear it sounds like a monologue from The Thin Red Line I've only seen that movie once, in the theatre, when it came out, but I think its from when Jim Caviezel's character is hesitating on shooting some Japanese soldiers coming down a riverbed.

Anyone?

Also, EITS kick major ass. I like to drive around listening to them; it gives everything I do a cinematic quality.

Yeah, absolutely, great music for long drives. I only have The Earth is a Cold Dead Place, though, so I am officially useless in terms of your question.

Very true. Them and Mono are about the only instrumental rock I can take a liking to. Mono slays live.
Never seen EITS perform, but they're nice enough guys to talk to.

Nah, it's from Caviezel's monologue in The Passion when the Pharisees are coming down the path in the Gethsemane scene. I'm pretty sure, anyway.

I'm assuming you are joking. This album more than predates The Passion

I have the last two EITS albums on CC for those interested, Those who tell the truth shall die... and The earth is not a cold dead place.

Also, along those same lines, check out the Mono album Walking cloud and deep red sky.... If you dig EITS, I think you'd like Mono. It's not as bombastic and is a bit more orchestral, but its really beautiful.

Not sure what the fuck that means, but I know this album was in the can before the Passion. As for talking shit about UGA, there's Dawgs and them that wish they were.

Don't mess with the boys from Alabama, cause we'll cut your head off and dump your body over a spillway at the Wilson Dam.

it's pretty straightforward (i'm assuming you're running os x). there's a big-ass list of invites you'll want to do, but i bet a lot of us have preemptively invited you already.

let me know if it gives you any issues. in which case i will incompetently attempt to help.

It's not as bombastic? I got scared and almost swerved off the road during one of my first few listens in a track number I can't even remember because the pure loudness of the guitars and instrumentation forced my hands to turn. I would say they are on a pretty equal level of bombasticnessism. Either way, as many have said before, that mono album, if one is seeking similar music, is a good one to buy. Much to compare to EITS and such, but overall it's just like what post-rock is becoming to me: nothing new. I do love the sounds though. mmmmm. I guess they could all just be the same band and it wouldn't make a difference to me.

EITS is spectactamundo live. Right Tania?
