when I was 10 or so a neighborhood kid and I went as Hanz and Franz...we did the whole, "we are here to pump you up" at every house, we were awesome. My mom has pics to prove it.

One of my brothers went as "Smelly Drunk Micmac Indian."

He dressed up like my brother-in-law.

I have pictures of Halloweens past, but to post little SpontaneousPoet as a clown would cut into my credibility so severely I may not recover. Though the year I was a "punk"...

When my brother was 4 or 5 he went as a toy soldier and refused to wear the mask right-side-up. Everytime my mom would fix it, the would throw an absolute fit. So he went from house to house that night looking like an absolute fool and I had to accompany.

I don't really remember anything that memorable as a kid, just the rubber suits with plastic masks of Optimus Prime and shit like that.

In college though, I made a badass Barf from Spaceballs costume. Unfortunately, I had to bow out of a costume contest because I was dead drunk and had to piss so bad I was afraid I would piss myself on stage. Instead of a keg of beer, I somehow won a watermelon full of grain alcohol that got dumped inside a minivan on the ride home.

I've won contests dressed as Aunt Jemima, Harpo Marx, and Groucho Marx. But, as a little kid, I remember how excited I was of the witch's costume my mom made me. Somewhere, I have a photo of me (all of 5 or 6 yrs of age) carrying my Trick or Treat bag, a band-aid on my knee, wearing my awesome home-sewn costume. I looked very cool!

I've made up for it since then.

Yep, Duff circa Appetite. Not Velvet 'my pancreas exploded' Duff.

When I was 6 or 7 my Dad handcrafted for me an entire Darth Vader costume. It was pretty awesome.

The flapper dress I made last night! I'm still a kid, so this costume is completely credible.
