Pete Yorn is throwing a benefit tonight at my favourite club (The Troubadour). Show is sold out. I have a ticket. I was fairly set in going...that is, until I read who else is playing.

7:00 doors open
7:30 Michael Miller
7:45 Waz
8:00 Fleshpot
8:15 Phil Cody
8:30 Jonny Polonsky
8:45 Minnie Driver
9:05 Jukesbox Junkies
9:30 Minibar
10:00 PETE YORN & Friends

Minnie 'fuckin' Driver...I don't wanna hear her sing.
Minibar? Seen 'em before, thought they sucked.
Jonny Polonsky might be interesting.
The "friends" are those listed above -- nobody else.
Do I really sit around watching people give 10 minute performances tonight?
I don't think I'm going. "Lost" is on tonight anyway.
At least the money I spent for the ticket is going to a good cause.

Still, would've been nice to see what Pete's been up to these days.

I think I've heard a song by MD that I liked on a Paste comp(?).

But I couldn't give a fuck about Pete Yorn. First disc wasn't bad, and he went dh from there, as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds like you should bail, but who am I to say?

I'm a Yorn fan---I think I'd check it out. Watch Lost, then arrive at 9:59? Or there's always TiVo.

I want Minnie Driver to be good because I like her.

But it probably won't happen.

Hell, she's gotta be better than Megan Mullally, at least.

"Lost" starts here at 9pm. And the venue is almost 30 miles from home, meanwhile, only a few blocks from work.
