so, what do you have to say about it?

I have a new obsession. Helen Frankenthaler. Absolutely wonderful.
In Richmonds art museum, we have Mother Goose Melody which is an exceptional piece. I just wrote up a critique on it if anyone wants to read it. Actually, i'm too embarrassed to put myself out there like that so I take it back.

helen frankenthaler is wonderful. a year ago i saw an exhibit (maybe at yale?) of some very oversized prints of hers that were breathtaking.

Are those depictions of dead people, or is it just my depraved mind?

I like the art minute, but I miss the link to click through to bigger versions so I can see 'em properly. I'm old, help a sister out.

I don't really think the sugarcube images are that interesting, but that could be because of scale. It's one inch on my screen, but if it was much larger than that in person I have a feeling it'd be a lot more interesting.

I just googled him and I saw this and I liked it:

hey, shelley. sorry 'bout that.
this is a link to the story.
you have to scroll down a bit and ckick on the image to make it a little larger.
the image is hard to read because it actually is that pixellated (sp?) by the sugar cubes.

http://www.artnet.com/magazineus/news/n ... 1-1-05.asp

and cp, munoz has done lots of much more interesting work.
you are missing the point of your art minute.
once i posted a sculpture which was a house made of cheese.

i've been away too long.
this wasn't the best image for my comeback.
i'm throwing in the towel.

I don't think i'm "missing the point" I just think you posted a picture of something I don't like as I see it right now, though my opinion could change if I were to see it in person. Either way, you posted art, I somewhat gave an opinion. Isn't that the point?

I'm not at all trying to sound rude. So I hope I don't come off that way. I just don't get what else the point would be, if you're introducing people to a work of art.

You're going to be really disappointed when you find out what sugar cubes are.

This is SO WONDERful, DO THIS MORE, MORE MORE,
I imagine I am not allowed to bitch about living in "paradise" and I am not, but I have no galleries, and see no more art than that of the (quite good, some) artists of my island, so post the art minute every day please please please. When we went on vacation to Seattle I spent so long at the museum they asked me to leave----They were closing.
Oh, Thanks again.

Hey Ayah,

Have you seen any of Daniel Rozen's work. Similar in concept of the pixel thing. Of which I have aparticular facination. But here is a link...

I just find this really cool. Using light and wood to do this.

Thanks for the art minute!!!

sadly, the images are too small to apreciate how awesome they are.
the detail is amazing.
