STERN SUSPENDED! --

Howard Stern Suspended For 1 Day. 11/07/05. 12:00pm (updated at 1:05pm)
According to a news report on Howard 100 News (on Sirius satellite radio) Howard Stern has been suspended by Infinity Broadcasting for ONE DAY (Tuesday). Howard 100 News reports that Stern was notified after today's show that he was being suspended for talking about his move to satellite radio too much. They're also saying that Stern was not willing to give Infinity any 'Best of Stern' tapes to play tomorrow morning while he's suspended. If you have Sirius, tune in now to hear any updates... I'll try to bring you more updates as they become available for those of you who don't have Sirius yet.

Dov, are you gonna get Sirius or just quit listening to Stern?

Any other Stern listeners?

Just curious.[/informal poll]

I'm wondering how many people share your opinion. I'm actually surprised that Sirius isnt running more magazine and TV ads. How many listeners does
Stern have now, 12-15 million? They will need at least a million of those to switch to Sirius to make this deal work financially.

Another story on the suspension

Honestly.

I get up at 8:30 every day, so I miss the first 2.5 hours of the show anyway... I usally only catch about 40 minutes a day..

i read the recaps on www.marksfriggin.com, an dI could rely on seeing the real good stuff on th 'E' show now and then...

so , its not like I got to hear that often anyways..

but he may replay the show all day long on Sirius...along with all the other stuff...

if i can find a good portable walkman type player, i may do the 13bux a month for it...thats not too bad...

Hell, I was listening to Stern before Gary was even around, but that pretty much got stopped cold when I moved to Atlanta.

There was a time when I actually would have considered paying to continue listening because he was so much a part of making my work day go by really quickly.

Now I come here and get entertained by you guys.

Steve

I listen to Howard every once in a while. Surprisingly, he's fun to listen to while at the gym working out. No, I won't be signing up for Sirius. I'm not that big of a fan.

I'm actually thinking of leaving sirius partially because of Stern. I've been a subscriber now for over two years and I just don't like all their latest attempts at programming. From the 24 - 7 Elvis stations and the stunt casting like Stern, they just do not seem to me to be giving me better musical selections. I do like the NFL games and occasionally some of the programming, but they've really not proven they are all about making good musical decisions for the last two years or so and i'm not looking forward to Sternatics steering the whole mess to the lowest common denomenator styled programming. The world does not need an all Motley Crew satellite channel.
