Started the day today with some classics:

Geto Boys - Grip It On That Other Level; and

Ice-T - OG

"Midnight" off OG has to be my fav old skool gangsta storytellin rap of all time. Ice and Evil-E were apparently "chillin, drinkin apple juice" at the AM-PM when some homeboys "rolled up." They were strapped, of course. Violence ensues.

not sure if this is "gangsta" but doesnt the soundtrack for the new 50-cent movie come out today?

My Pandora station keeps throwing out Geto Boys' "Mind of a Lunatic", which is undeniably awesome. Another favorite is Ice Cube's "You Can't Fade Me".

I think that counts. No such thing as selling out in gangsta rap. It's just "gettin paid."
