I just created a basic logo in photoshop. Saved it as a .psd file and as a .jpeg.

I am trying to upload it to myspace and/or photobucket, but after I do, all iget is one of those red 'X' errors...

i have shrunk the file so its not very large..

any idea's why it aint working?

I'd move onto Illustrator tout de suite. There's a lot of crossover btwn it and pshop, whereas Quark's just a dedicated, cumbersome, Pandora's box for page layout.

<Geek>Can I say just how much I love the Adobe Bridge app in CS2?</Geek>

Dalen,

Sorry, beg to differ. I think it depends on what you want to do with it. If you just want to use it for web then I think PHotoshop is fine. but IF there is EVER a possibility that it will be used for print then I would wholeheartedly agree that you should use a drawing program such as Illlustrator.

If you plan to use it for an avatar you may want to use an application such as Gimp or Graphics converter to get it to the proper file size as Photoshop adds extraneous header infomation and custom icons that just add to the file size.

Graphics Converter is great because you can specify a file size to compress to and it will do it for you. But remember, the more compressed the file is. the more chance it may look odd when viewed.
