Could someone recommend me a good science fiction movie to rent? I like films such as The Matrix, Star Trek: First Contact, Dark City and Minority Report.

Some excellent suggestions here so far (Fifth Element being one of my favourites, 12 Monkeys being an excellent choice). The only one I'd add is I, Robot.

Have you seen the anime the Matrix is loosely adapted from? Ghost in the shell?

Since Equilibrium was the first movie on the list that I haven't seen yet, I decided to pick it up. However, it wasn't in stock when I went to the video store. I guess I should call next time and double check with an employee.

Instead, I rented American Psycho since Bale is also the lead in that one.
