Just a heads-up...in addition to DDDVD's free shipping & usual low prices, they're having another one of their 20% sales. The promo code for the sale is "SUPERSALE".

I know some people here have scored some cheap stuff this way in the past - thus, the heads-up. Dunno if it applies to Deep Discount CD....I don't think it does.

I had 10 DVDs in my shopping cart at alldirect.com, I was waiting to buy them until I had money. Alldirect = $103.24

DDDVD, with the sale = $82.23

Thanks!

Now I can find two more movies I wanted to buy.

P.S. I still can't afford this right now, so do you know how long the sale will last?

Can you afford it if you skip the two more movies?

Long story, short. Gateway sent me two hard drives to try and fix my crashed computer, neither worked so I sent them back. Last night, they charged my account $331 because they never received the hard drives. I smell long hours on the phone battling this one out.

Plus my two extra movies turned into seasons 1 and 3 of Kids in the Hall, since the price was so good. $28 each, whereas Best Buy has them for $41 and amazon has them for $38.

Ouch...that Gateway deal sounds like a bitch.

I'm gonna order an Uncle Floyd from DDDVD for sure...I might end up ordering the 3rd SCTV set & "Undeclared" as well. The prices are awful hard to beat.

Has anyone had problems with DeepDiscount on shipping? I've only dealt with them (both CD and DVD divisions) and found them EXTREMELY slow to ship. Only one time did I get something in less than a few weeks, but the other times were well over one month from when I ordered, and the worst was nearly 2.5 months. This was a while back - have they fixed this problem?

They don't use the fastest shipping possible ( you get what you pay for ) , but I've NEVER had anything take that long. Are you sure those items weren't backordered? That would explain a lot.

Only problem I've ever had with DDDVD was a David Cross DVD that was missing the disc. That wasn't their fault, though - & they sent me a new one ASAP.

I ended up ordering the "Uncle Floyd" DVD & the "Undeclared" set.

Nope, they weren't backordered . . . until weeks after I placed the order and complained. THEN they suddenly became backordered, retroactive somehow to the time when I placed my orders. That was when I realized that the $2 I saved on the price and the $3 for shipping from other more reputable sellers wasn't worth saving at all.

Well, that sucks. I'd chalk it up to a rare occurance, though...I've used DDDVD probably close to 50 times the last few years problem-free.
