is slowing a lot of things the fuck down. I never have problems with loading time but I can't get the first page of the Arrested Develoment thread, as well as a few others, to load at all unless I turn off avatars.

I can't figure out who it is.

No, it's got to do with the hosting sites. If they go down or stop responding or whatever, then things come to a garinding halt.

I have avatars and sig pics turned off.
