Anyone?

If so, have you converted any dvd/mpegs for it, and which apps did you use? How is the quality?

I've downloaded plenty of videos and video podcasts, and all look fantastic.

My brother-in-law got a 60gb for his birthday last weekend. Didn't get to check out any video, but I have to say its slim thickness is very appealing. The thing's thinner than a 4G 20gb, and the big color screen looks really nice. I'm going to hold out til next summer, however, when the 80gb is likely to show up. As nice as that big screen is, I can live with my b/w 40gb for another 6-8 months.

size. larger and bulkier than the iPod video.

does a lot more, but the Creative isn't as compact. i carry the iPod in my pocket quite a bit, so the Creative would feel too heavy/annoying.

plus it probably won't be long before they come out with one with a bigger screen. to tell you the truth, i'm really ok without portable video. in fact, i'm still using my original 5gb scroll-wheel ipod and am realizing that they really haven't yet improved on that design, imho. feels better than any of the interfaces on the 2g, 3g, and 4g versions and it doesn't crash like mlle's 4g click-wheel one--we're on the 3rd or 4th dead ipod replacement in around 6-8 months. :bs:

Dalen might find this useful. For me it's a good starting point once I add this.

Is this the video mod for ipod photos?

http://ipodlinux.org/Video_Player

It's a way to install linux on your iPod. There's a graphics interface (Podzilla) that comes with a video player. It's very specific to video types and setting for it to work, though... it has to be raw video data, which takes up a LOT of disk space. I'm trying it out, but my linux install seems to have screwed up my iPod. I can't reboot it or get my PC to recognize. Try this at your own risk. I may just have to wait for the battery to run out and re-install my firmware.

I'm not sure if ipodlinux is what Modem is talking about or not.
