I would have quit work and made travel arrangements if I had heard about this tour in time: Konono No. 1 is going to ruin each city it touches. I've heard that San Francisco is in shambles.

I'm checking them out at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. I had tickets to see The Joggers in Akron but this caught my eye instead. I think I'm making the right choice.

I can provide YSI when I'm back in mtl. Konono no. 1 is an amplified mbira ensemble, essentially. A ton of bounce, and a celebratory vibe! Crude and DIY.

Damn, I don't remember the Wex getting anything that good when I was at OSU.

Just got back from the Pittsburgh show at the Warhol Museum. Good times had by all (Conga lines, babies with earplugs, cheap wine - all surrounded by some of Warhol's finest moments.) I wanted to pick up a cd or two but didn't see any for sale. Can't find them in the stores. Totally worth the trip. Check em out if you get the chance.
