Violent Femmes

There's been some talk about them recently. And they are a damn good band. So let's start another one of these addictive, stupid polls.

This should be a tough one... there's lots of great ones to choose from!!!

My pick:
I think thart "Never Tell" has the perfect combination of catchiness, menace, and complexity to just barely take it for me... from about 5 others.

American Music...I dunno I just love it.

"Never Tell" is my favorite as of late, but "Prove My Love" has been my favorite of theirs for years.

I picked Add It Up, and I could use the same sage words that Todd did to describew "Never Tell", which is probaly 2nd for me.

Other contenders from the list: I Held Her In My Arms and Blister In The Sun

Other contenders not on the list: No Killing, Gone Daddy Gone, It's Gonna Rain.

Great songs all, and tough to chose a favorite.

Is this like an hors d'ourve poll while we wait for SK's?

I can't choose I tend to thing of the first album as one long song and I'd choose that one long song.

other: any filler track that's just complete silence. the violent femmes are one of the most annoying bands ever (and i'm from milwaukee).

Three-way tie, for me: Blister in the Sun/Add It Up/Kiss Off

I'm going to have to re-listen to that first album...

Add it UP is my vote but Kiss Off is a close second, if only for the countdown.

I picked "Kiss Off", but I agree with the long song. This album reminds me of being twelve and pubescent, and man does it rule for that time in your life.
