What's a good starting point for this guy's music? The only song I know is the one Martin L. Gore covered.

Um, the one I listen to the most is Valuable Passages, but that's cause I've had it for like 18 years

Oh, I see looking at the website that there's a 32-track Best Of, which is righteous considering Vini's been at this for almost 30 years.

Well, looking around it appears to be called Tempes Fugit and is only an import right now on Kooky Discs.

Finally ordered last year's Someone Else's Party just a few days back.

Vini Reilly, aka The Durutti Column. One of the most shimmering guitarists ever. Very worth pursuing if you're into tone/mood-based atmospheric instrumentals with substance (with the occasional vocal slid in here and there).

He played with Morrissey for a bit, but that's just a tiny sliver of his life.
