...is the 2 week period after handing over your resignation letter. Watching everybody else worry about sales figures, while you just pass off every incoming email to co-workers.

Even better is having this time right before the holidays, as you don't have to worry about misbehaving at corporate functions. Started my 2 week bender last night; should be fun, to say the least.

My best work experience when I was asked to work overnight when I worked for National Savings. Apart from the porn downloading security guards I was the only person in the what is an enormous building.

I stole loads of chocolate out peoples desk drawers and generally wandered around the place with a curious spirit (whats in this cupboard, will my pass get me in here, etc)

wow, I've never experienced that either. I have worked overnight shifts before, back in the old days of working at Target. It's surprising how much you get done with no one else around to bug the crap outta you. I've also come into work early before (like 6 am), and it's nice getting that quiet time before all the other slugs show up at 8.
