I've been flipping around and watching some of this horrible television.
It's like a car accident, I can't stop watching.

The Rolling Stones are on now, live from Salt Lake City. They are are decent.

Robotboy ("Ryan"), are you trying to bait the ATL Krew into a flame-war?

The AMAs aren't really worth bashing.

I saw the stones on the west coast. they were awful but I really doubt they would cut them for as much as they probably paid to show them.

This was some BAD tv.

Another Santana collaboration? Say it ain't so. Please.

Fo' suh. Even Scott Weiland, as loopy as he is from the drugs, knows not to pick up a guitar... Not in concert, anyway. It would look ridiculous ("ridicules").

I saw that the Stones were going to be on and actually flipped over once....I'm not sad I missed them, I've seen them before and let's face it---they aren't exactly much to look at with extreme close ups.

When I flipped over, it was (I think) Rob Thomas singing a duet....needless to say, it didnt capture my attention.

The Office was pretty funny, though.

I just keep away from all award shows. I think they are the most boring thing on television. I watched My Name is Earl and The Office both of which were moderately funny.

Sharon had this on last night when I came upstairs.
Sheryl Crow was playing and I had no idea who she was, as she has now cultivated a look as indistinguishable as her music.

Just awful.

Thankfully, Sharon has good taste in music so she did not protest when I changed away. In fact, she was doing work and hardly even noticed the music. That's how bland it was.

i watched the whole thing, and i don't know what i was thinking.. but yes it was like a bad car accident, you can't stop watching.

lindsay lohan covered stevie nicks. awful.
hilary duff is awful.
eurythmics? awful.
gwen stefani was pointless singing backup for pharell. pharell was good though.
wtf was mariah carey wearing?
the stones were ok.

and cedric the entertainer was horrible as a host.

why i continuously watch these things, i don't know.

I just thought it was obvious that the majority of the people on this board dislike a great deal of the music being celebrated *ahem* on the program, so why even start a topic. Kinda like the Grammys. No one cares, so why talk about it and add to an already raging fire?

This just pretty much sums up my thoughts too, except I missed Mariah and Duff. Cedric certainly didn't live up to his name. Man that was a waste of television. I hope that people stop watching that crap so they stop airing it. Just like people aren't buying cd's and the record labels are going down the tubes, so should the televising of their own miserable egos.

wow it amazed me how off tune hilary duff was. and that whole rivalry thing between her & lohan is funny.

the thing that annoys me most about mariah is that stupid hand thing she always does. good lord, stop it already!

yeah unfortunately i'm one of those shameless people who watch these things, and as much as i despise it, i like to keep up with pop culture because it's funny how ridiculous some of this shit is. and the fact that some people actually like this music. it shouldn't bother me anyway because i know i like better music ya know? it's always going to be around no matter what.

At least 4-5 people watched from this thread alone...mult. that times the world. Awards shows will never go away.

Stop it…Please

I really like this board and would like to come back and start posting again but this shit has to stop. I can laugh at myself but the backlash lately is out of hand…
