so i've read a lot of good review for the new amc, but not much on what it sounds like riyl-wise, save for neil young & a less flamboyant morrissey. does anyone here have a good amc riyl?

graci

to be honest - AMC has a pretty unique sound, mainly due to Eitzel's voice. I really love AMC but not got at these riyl - not as "country" as Neil Young...not as "poppy" as Morrissey - don't think those two are really very close.

I haven't heard this one, so, dunno. I heard a few songs off it live, and it seemed a little grubbier than usual, but that might just be the Sound Of Spaceland.

They have a pretty different sound from album to album; some of them are RIYL a less pop-tastic pernice brothers. Others are RIYL len cohen without len cohen's voice. Um. Lullaby for the Working Class? Tough one.
